We are pleased to announce that we have taken our practice and the quality of patient care we provide to the next level with our new state-of-the-art CS 8100 3D extraoral imaging system. Dr. Potluri is dedicated to providing patients with accurate diagnoses and exceptional treatment, and the true-to-life 3D images captured by the new radiography, or X-ray unit help them do just that.
Featuring one of the highest 3D image resolutions available, the CS 8100 3D provides the most accurate view of patients’ anatomy for improved diagnoses, treatment planning and surgical predictability. Some images can even be captured in as little as seven seconds using 50 percent less radiation than standard acquisition.
As patient well-being is always our top concern, the innovative patient-centric design of the CS 8100 3D helps us obtain high-quality images while keeping your comfort at the forefront. The open design of the CS 8100 3D will put you at ease and accommodate patients of all shapes and sizes, including those in wheelchairs.
Additionally, the CS 8100 3D provides more services in-office, the need to refer patients to outside imaging centers: That means fewer visits and faster treatment for you.
We want you to know that what matters to us most is taking care of you—our patient. This new system helps us significantly improve patient care, and we appreciate the trust you put in our practice and look forward to continuing our mutually beneficial relationship for many years to come.
Digital radiography is state-of-the-art technology that not only allows dental treatment to become safer, but also more accurate. Our computerized imaging system removes the need of toxic chemicals, and also allows for the use of less radiation. Digital dental radiographs use half the radiation that traditional film-based radiographs! In addition, images can be manipulated for a better diagnosis.
With the help of an operating microscope, endodontic procedures can be performed more accurately and more reliably using variable and adjustable magnifications and shadow-free light due to a coaxial radiating light source. This proves extremely useful in endodonticswhich allows us to view your tooth with magnification and fiber optic illumination. Which means we are able to see small details such as missed or calcified canals and fractures. Microscopic dentistry is also highly beneficial during endodontic procedures where slight changes can have a dramatic impact on the overall outcome.
It allows multiple instruments to be integrated into one system with operation from only one foot control. These systems have closed water reservoirs that are filled with distilled water for advanced hygiene. They also contain ultrasonic hand pieces which help in the extraction of broken files in the tooth or opening of calcified canals. Our carts are also equipped with a multiple irrigation system, used for removal of bacteria and infection inside your tooth.
Have you ever missed out on a dental appointment because you’re too afraid to sit in the dental chair? Do you have a strong gag reflex that makes it difficult for you to let a dentist work in your mouth or even to simply clean your teeth? Is it hard for you to keep your mouth open for a long time? Or do your muscles easily ache after staying in one position too long?
Sedation dentistry can help you with all of those issues. When a person gets their dental work done under sedation, local anesthetics are still used to make it a better experience. Local anesthesia is primarily used for blocking the nerves around the immediate treatment area, whereas sedation is a way of making you either less anxious or even completely unaware that you are even having dental work done at all. It definitely eases anxiety, pain, and discomfort.
NITROUS OXIDE also called laughing gas, this calming sedative allows patients to feel relaxed and comfortable. Some patients do fall asleep with it. The sedative does not have any pain-relieving effects, but has proven very effective for patients who have anxiety problems or severe gag reflex. The great part about nitrous oxide is that you can drive yourself home after your appointment rather than needing a ride. This is due to the near instant-on and instant-off effects of the laughing gas as the gas is turned either on or off.
